TECHNIQUES
Dr. Gregersen and the Gregersen Family Chiropractic office offers a wide array of chiropractic-based adjusting and therapeutic tools and techniques:

Diversified Chiropractic Technique (DCT)
The Diversified technique involves manually placing pressure through the affected vertebral segment to aid and restore proper movement.
This technique is a safe and effective way of relieving stiffness and pain. It is also the technique most commonly associated with a “popping” noise, which is simply gas being released from the joint as it is unlocked.

Activator Method Chiropractic Technique
This treatment method uses the Activator adjusting instrument, which is an alternative to traditional manipulation utilizing a high velocity, low amplitude (HVLA) thrust, such as the Diversified technique.

Logan Basic Technique
A system of body mechanics with special emphasis on pelvic and spinal distortions and the subluxations that affect spinal structures, Logan Basic Technique is a light force, full-spine adjusting procedure highlighting the correction of spinal and pelvic pathobiomechanics.

Thompson Technique
The Thompson Technique is a full-spine adjusting technique that emphasizes high-velocity, low amplitude, and some low-force procedures, using a drop table as an indispensable adjunct.

Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation (TENS)
Describe your service here. What makes it great? Use short catchy text to tell people what you offer, and the benefits they will receive. A great description gets readers in the mood, and makes them more likely to go ahead and book.

Intersegmental Traction Table (IST) (on-site)
An intersegmental traction table, or roller table, is a tool that chiropractors use to gently re-establish the normal range of motion for the body's spine. These tables offer patients many chiropractic benefits.

Spinal Decompression Table (on-site)
SDT works to stretch the spine, using a spinal decompression table or other device, in order to create negative pressure and space within the disc to allow disc fluid to move back into place. This creates an environment in which the disc can receive more nutrients and therefore heal itself more quickly and effectively. The ultimate goal of spinal decompression therapy is to relieve the patient’s chronic back, arm, neck, and/or leg pain, and to heal the source of said pain.

Frequency Specific Microcurrent
FSM is applied through an electronic device like a transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) unit and falls under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration category of TENS devices. Yet, unlike TENS, FSM delivers a nondiscernable microcurrent that is not intended to trigger muscle contractions or pain.
